Evaluation Question 3- What have you learnt from your audience feedback?

We also asked members of our target audience to comment on our video via youtube to asses how well we put the video together what they thought of it and what they would improve/change.

We found that the black and white theme was effective and engaging and helped to promote a sense of ambiguity when paired with the masked faces of our characters. They thought that the disjuncture created by the cut up scenes and the reverse shots, especially at the end of the product when the video is 're-wound' was effective and fit in nicely with the narrative which they found amplified the lyrics well.
To improve, we found that we could have cut down the repetition of the reverse shots a little, and add more to the narrative to push the story line and help attract and engage our audience further.

Evaluation Question 3- What have you learnt from your audience feedback?

We asked a member of our target audience to complete an interview for us, so that we were able to see what worked for our product and whether it attracted her or not.

From this, we were able to discover that the video was very clearly an 'indie rock' music video and that this was reflected in our ancillary texts, which were effective in engaging an audience and linked well to the rest of our products.

digipacks

To support our product, we also created a digital pack consisting of an album cover, inside and back and an advertisement for our album. We had to come up with the images and title of the album and also a number of other tracks which would help represent our artist and promote both the single and the album.
